Bridges of Madison County
Francesca Johnson, an Italian woman who married an American soldier to flee war-ravaged Italy, looks forward to a rare four days alone on her Iowa farm when her family heads to the 1965 State Fair. When National Geographic photographer, Robert Kincaid, pulls into her driveway seeking directions to one of the famed covered bridges of Madison County, what happens in those four days may very well alter the course of Francesca's life. Confronted with a bridge of her own to cross, will she return to the dreams she was forced to leave behind, or the life that helped her survive?
Based on the best-selling novel, and developed by Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown and Pulitzer Prize winner Marsha Norman. Winner of the 2014 Tony Award for Best Score and Orchestrations.

Past directing credits include Spitfire Grill and Godspell at Rochester Repertory Theatre, Little Shop of Horrors, The Little Mermaid, and Cinderella with Wits' End Theatre in Chatfield and she served as Century High School's musical director for 6 years. Bridges will be Sam's first production with Calliope and if she has it her way, it definitely won't be the last! Up next, you can see Sam in Mantorville designing the set and playing Emma in their fall musical Lizzie!
